Imtihan

"Imtihan" is a Bollywood movie from 1974 directed by Madan Sinha. The film stars Vinod Khanna, Tanuja, and Bindu in lead roles.

The movie tells the story of a college professor named Parimal Tripathi (Vinod Khanna) who falls in love with a young woman named Sudha (Tanuja), one of his students. Despite the age difference and societal norms, they get married and begin a happy life together.

However, their happiness is short-lived as Sudha's past comes back to haunt her. She was previously involved with a criminal named Chander (Asrani) who wants to use Sudha's knowledge of the college's security system to pull off a heist. When Sudha refuses to help him, Chander kidnaps her and holds her hostage.

Parimal sets out to rescue Sudha and stop Chander's plans. The film deals with themes such as love, trust, and loyalty.

"Imtihan" is remembered for its hit songs, including "Ruk Jaana Nahin", "Sham-E-Gham Ki Kasam", and "Dil Vil Pyar Vyar". The film is also notable for Vinod Khanna's performance as a mature and responsible husband who will stop at nothing to save his wife.
