The Carpenters

The sibling duo has become one of the most highly celebrated and recognized for their music. Richard Carpenter initially formed multiple bands and experimented with music a lot. Though their band’s music failed to gain fame they kept trying and finally were signed to A and M records. They recorded and produced their first album Offering which was popular among the audiences. Subsequently, they also released Ticket to ride which was not as popular but gained fame with time. They gained popularity by remaking and reworking popular songs Close to you and We’ve only just begun. These songs topped the Billboard charts and were immensely popular. They toured extensively during 1974 and no new albums were released for two more years. Karen’s tragic passing due to an eating disorder brought a lot of media attention and help in spreading awareness about eating disorders.

This concert was performed at the London theatre in 1976. They performed various songs from their hit albums.
