What started as the Yardbirds became known as a global rock and roll phenomenon. Led Zeppelin the name was taken from the lead balloon. They debuted their album Led Zeppelin in 1969 and immediately became a billboard hit securing the 10th spot on the chart. Their second album Led Zeppelin 2 was even more popular than the previous one and made it to number 1 on the Billboard charts. They became well known for their trashy behavior in hotels often trashing the rooms. Their fourth album Led Zeppelin 4 became one of their best-selling albums. Their live shows became very popular and sold even more tickets than the Beatles. They took a hiatus in 1976 when Jimmy Page and his wife were wounded in an accident. Their next tours and concerts considered their comeback were received very well putting them as the number one rock sensation. They started waning after Plant’s son died from a stomach virus they canceled all tours and were on hold. John Bonham later began drinking very excessively and died from asphyxiation which led to the band’s dissolution.
The concert here is from the peak of Led Zeppelin from 25th May 1975 in Earls Court Arena London. The audience went wild at the concerts and riots were a common occurrence.
