What started as the blues boys became the most recognized band in the history of music. The rolling stones were named on a phone call with Jazz News by Brian Jones. In 1963 they were more popular than the Beatles and rose to fame with their cover of popular Blues. Their manager was 19 years old and had worked with the Beatles previously he promoted them as bad boys and had a major hand in promoting their first single Come On which rose to the top 30 in the Billboard charts and gave them international exposure. Their first two albums mostly consisted of covers of popular songs and it was not until the third album Aftermath they had original compositions. They often ran into trouble with the government and federal authorities with drug problems. They however remained at the top throughout their career and have been called the most commercially successful band.
