Madonna

Known as the Queen of Pop music, Madonna is well known for her electrifying performances as well as her controversial behavior in concerts and on screen. She started learning dance at a young age and dropped out of college to pursue music. She was well taught dance by Martha Graham a very well-known name in choreography and dance fame. She started as a part of a rock band called the Breakfast Club and soon after established herself as a solo artist. Both of Madonna’s Debut singles reached number 3 on the Billboard charts and brought her critical acclaim. Her first album Madonna was released in 1983 and peaked at number 8 on the Billboard charts. Her style was a major influence on the fashion industry of the 80s with bleached hair, Crop tops, as well as a cross, inspired jewelry, she became a global icon with her album Like a Virgin for which she performed on MTV awards which were open to controversy launched her into further stardom. She also was acting in movies and gained critical acclaim as an actress with her films ranking at the top of the charts. She was also regarded as a sex symbol due to her provocative actions in her films and her performances.
