The love symbol of pop Prince was one of the very few artists who published their music. He wrote his first song when he was just 7 years old. Since his family was into music his mother was a jazz singer and his father was an instrument player and singer. He was signed by a businessman at just 19 years old. His first-ever recording was also recognized by big label record companies who helped him publish his first-ever album ‘For You’ which made it to the Billboard hot 100. His second album, Prince, went platinum and charted at number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100. The following album Dirty Mind as well as Controversy sold very well and was well praised by critics and audiences alike. He also starred in the motion picture Purple Rain which was a commercial hit and the album topped the charts as well. He also formed a band called the Revolution and was successful in the music it produced. All of Prince’s albums were an immediate success and garnered positive reception, he even collaborated with certain artists like Madonna, the Rolling stones, and many more. He rebelled against Warner Brothers as he felt they were limiting his potential as a musician.
