The band was named after an article in the New Yorker magazine that showed Frank Sinatra and was called Frankie Goes Hollywood. Their first-ever single Relax in 1983 was banned by the BBC after their Disc Jockey found the Disc art and lyrics to be obscene. The song shortly after peaked at number 1 in the UK charts and the BBC was unable to feature a top charting song because of the imposed ban. Their second and third singles too charted at number one making them the only band after the 1960s to top the charts consistently. Their next few singles were successful but started falling off the course. The band split in 1987. They reunited in 2003 but did not keep up with the members consistently.
The concert here is in London in 1984, called Europe a Gogo. They were promoting their singles released Relax, Two tribes as well as the power of love their newest single.
