Bon Jovi

Jon Bon Jovi started playing music at the age of 13 and had already mastered instruments like the piano and guitar. Jon was working at his cousin’s record company and recorded demo tapes and singles to be sent to record labels. His first ever professional lead vocals were in R2D2 wishes you a merry Christmas. AT a local radio station his first single Runaway was played in a compilation that began circulating among sister radios as well. Recruiting local talents for his band Jon Bon Jovi had several of his friends join the band. Derek Shulman became their manager after the band began to gain traction with talent shows. They were named Bon Jovi instead of Johnny Electric and released their debut album in 1984 which charted well. Their second album came out in 1985 called 7800 Fahrenheit, which was also well received. They toured to promote the album and started working on their third album Slippery When Wet in Canada 1986. This album peaked at the Billboard charts becoming a commercial success their next album called New Jersey was released in 1988 and was a commercial and critical success. They earned many accolades and were celebrated for their music and performances.

The performance here is from Sydney in 1987 the band is seen promoting their new album. 7800 Fahrenheit was promoted in a cross-Europe tour.
