Metallica

One of the most well-known heavy metal bands, they released their first-ever album Metal Massacre 1 in 1982 which didn’t sell. They participated in 2 gigs at the time and with public word of mouth they were able to attract significant attention to themselves. Their Debut album was called Metal up your ass and was renamed Kill ‘em All. The album charted at 155 on the Billboard 200. They toured with Raven to promote their album. Their second album Ride the Lightning was a moderate success as well and though it charted at only 100 it impressed the owner of Elektra Records who signed them and released a limited edition single in Britain Creeping death which sold well. Their third album Master of Puppets reached number 29 on the Billboard 200 charts and sold very well after their popularity with the concerts and tours. While touring the bus they were on had a horrible incident and Cliff Burton died. After paying respects they continued the band. They released …And Justice For All in 1988 Charting at number 6 on the Billboard 200 it was a commercial as well as a critical success. Metallica or the Black Album was their next release in 1991 it immediately was a hit becoming one of the most-sold albums in the US. They continue to produce albums and music and are still producing good music to this day.
