One of the most celebrated songwriters in the history of music. Elton John has influenced and dominated the music industry since the early 70s. With band hits like ‘your song’, and ‘border song’ among many others from his album ‘Elton John’. He achieved further success with the album Honky Chateau. An album that stayed at the billboard top 200 for five weeks. Known for his over-the-top outfits and large goggles on his performances. John has also been named one of the first openly gay musicians. He came out as openly gay in 1992 and since has been a representative of the LGBTQ community.
The concert shown here is from November 3 1977 and is considered one of the many amazing concerts of Elton held at the Wembley Empire Pool. The singer was still receiving fame and praise as a fairly new artist. Gifted with a soothing voice and some of the best songwriting.
