He started his career as a songwriter for other people, he was initially a part of the nitty gritty dirt band. Which he left when he was 18 and joined Elektra Records as a songwriter. He rose to fame in 1971 with his album Jackson Browne. He has written songs for The Eagles and has several of his songs used in movies. Including in the title track of Taxi Driver. He has been politically active and also has participated in many social causes such as the protest against nuclear power.
The concert we bring to you here is from 15th October 1976 held in the Capitol Theatre New Jersey when he was touring to promote his album Everyman. This is from his initial days of recognition as a celebrated music writer and singer.
