Mel Bakersfeld, the general manager of an airport in the Chicago area, must deal with a significant snowstorm as well as other problems at work and at home while the disturbed D.O. Guerrero threatens to blow up an airliner in this disaster film featuring a big ensemble cast. Tensions rise in the air and on the ground, and danger is close at hand as pilot Vernon Demerest tries to soothe Guerrero and talk him out of detonating explosives on the aircraft.
