Arthur Bach, a wealthy playboy from New York City, is always inebriated and hopelessly lost. Arthur grudgingly gets ready for an arranged marriage with heiress Susan Johnson with the help of his witty and sarcastic butler, Hobson. He immediately falls in love with Linda Marolla, a waitress from Queens, but he risks losing his riches if he breaks his engagement to Susan.
