When she is connected to the violent killing of a rock star, mystery crime novelist Catherine Tramell becomes a suspect. Nick Curran, a homicide detective, is being looked into when Catherine lures him into a passionate relationship. As other fatalities that seem connected to one another start to occur, the investigation into the murder of Nick gets more challenging. Beth Garner, Nick's lover and psychologist, also seems to be a suspect in the case.
