In this 1940s - set animated film, the troubled but valiant Batman faces off against an enigmatic antagonist who is taking down some of Gotham City's deadliest criminals and who many people mistake for the cape - wearing hero. Millionaire Bruce Wayne, the alter ego of Batman, is ready to wed the attractive Andrea Beaumont, who aids him in getting over his desire to revenge his parents' murder, suggesting that his days of combating crime may be numbered.
