Director Ed Wood is an outcast in Hollywood due to his bizarre habits and perplexingly odd movies. Nevertheless, the director is able to bring his enormous fantasies to reality on screen thanks to the assistance of the formerly well - known Bela Lugosi and a loyal cast and crew of show business outcasts who believe in Ed's off - kilter vision.
