An insomniac and depressed man who meets Tyler Durden, a bizarre soap salesman, suddenly finds himself living in his filthy house when his ideal apartment is damaged. Two men who are tired of their boring existence organise an underground club with stringent rules and engage in combat with other men. When Marla, a fellow support group crasher, catches Tyler's eye, their harmonious relationship begins to deteriorate.
