Martin Riggs, a detective of the Los Angeles Police Department, spirals out of control after the death of his wife. Riggs instantly disagrees with Roger Murtaugh after being reassigned and partnered with him. Together, they dismantle a huge drug trafficking organisation. Riggs and Murtaugh start to get close as they run into riskier circumstances. If it doesn't kill them both first, Riggs' explosive behaviour might just be able to assist them in capturing the perpetrators.
