An inquisitive oral historian arrives to interview 121-year-old Jack Crabb, and he is astonished by what he hears. As a snake-oil salesman, gunman, and mule skinner for General Custer, Crabb recounts being saved and raised by the Cheyenne. He also claims to be the sole white survivor of the famed Battle of the Little Bighorn, as if those facts weren't astounding enough.
