Based on the popular video game of the same name, a portal to other worlds open in Earth's realm every generation. Emperor Shao-Kahn, the ruler of the Outerworld traverses the portal with his mighty warriors to take control of Earth's realm and merge it with the Outerworld. He however only has 7 days to do so. Meanwhile, The warriors on Earth Sonya, Jax, Liu Kang, and Kitana prepare to fight in the Mortal Kombat tournament to defeat the Emperor and his Soldiers.
