God visits Jerry Landers, an assistant manager at a supermarket, and takes the guise of an elderly man. At first reluctant, Jerry eventually consents to tell others about his encounters with the all-powerful designer of heaven and earth. Theologians believe Jerry's God is a fraud, and Bobbie, his wife, is doubtful. Religious leaders step in and demand that Jerry provide evidence for his claims as he continues to receive visitation from God.
