When Elliott, a powerful and occasionally naughty dragon, tries to assist a little orphan named Pete in escaping from his terrible foster parents, he causes turmoil in a Maine fishing community. Together with Nora and her father, Pete wishes to live in the lighthouse. Will Elliott be able to assist her in realizing her ambition while eluding the grasp of the rapacious Dr. Terminus who wants to take advantage of him?
