Four lads from Oregon go to see the body of a stranger who was unintentionally killed nearby their rural homes after learning of the incident. In addition to learning more about one another and their very diverse home experiences, Gordie Lachance, Vern Tessio, Chris Chambers, and Teddy Duchamp face a cruel junk guy and a marsh full of leeches while traveling. The boys' excursion, which started off as a joke, turns into a pivotal moment in their lives.
