April O'Neil, a reporter, buys a time - traveling antique Japanese sceptre that can transport people from one century to another. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, her crime - fighting friends, chase her when she is taken to 16th - century Japan. The Turtles discover April has been kidnapped by the evil Lord Norinaga after landing in the past. They must work with Misu, the rebel leader, to rescue her.
