This exorcism story is loosely based on real occurrences. When tiny Regan begins acting strangely—levitating, speaking in tongues—her concerned mother seeks medical assistance, but she comes up empty-handed. However, a local priest believes the girl might be under the devil's control. The church sends an expert to assist with the challenging task after the priest requests that an exorcism be performed.
