This Disney animated film chronicles the exploits of Simba, a young lion who is Mufasa's successor. In order to seize Mufasa's throne, Scar, Simba's villainous uncle, intends to trap his father and son into a wildebeest stampede. Simba is able to escape, and only Mufasa is killed. Simba makes a comeback as an adult to battle Scar for control of his country with the help of his friends Timon and Pumbaa.
