Divorced father On Christmas Eve, Scott has custody of his son. They are mysteriously transported to the North Pole when he mistakenly kills a man dressed as Santa Claus. There, an elf reveals that Scott must step in as Santa before the coming of the next Christmas. Scott believes he is dreaming, but over the ensuing months, he puts on weight and develops an oddly white beard. Scott may have a lot of work to do if it turns out that the night he spent at the North Pole wasn't a dream after all.
