Cat People SOUNDTRACKS
The soundtrack from the film is no ordinary album and the highlight of course is the first track "Cat People” (putting out fire) by David Bowie. Bowie ignores the plot of this neon-lit remake of a French thriller—an extended masculine metaphor in which sexual women transform into predatory felines. Instead, he wails about fire and gasoline. An incredible rendering with highly explosive percussion and a base line to match. An excellent track to test any system for dynamics.
