The eponymous Willie Dynamite (Roscoe Orman) is a pimp in New York City, who strives to be number one in the city. As he is trying to do so, a social worker aims to take him down. Martha Reeves sang the title song on the soundtrack album. J. J. Johnson composed and produced the original soundtrack.
