The 70-80s were no different and gave us some of the most absurd scoops. Which are well overlooked and constantly kept hush-hush even to this day.

Some whacky news

Did you know that Jane Fonda visited Vietnam (Hanoi to be precise) in the midst of war in 1977? And was later dubbed 'Jane Hanoi'. Yikes way to earn a new nickname Jane. She was also ‘brainwashed’ and made several comments about how the prisoners of war were lying about their torture.

Speaking of names Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton who had a rather feisty marriage divorced in 1974. They then remarried in 1975 like the previous events did not happen and finally, divorced again in 1976 for good. Now, this is a marriage story we are all interested in.

No one expects children to be well indulged in head-turning headlines. Well, Lori Maddox or Lori Maddix is here to change your mind. Since she dated the Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page when she was just 14 years old. She was also associated with David Bowie, Mick Jagger, and many other music legends. And they say children are the future.

And now for the spiciest news yet

Back in 1962 former president, John F Kennedy supposedly had a relationship with The Hollywood sex symbol Marilyn Monroe. She sang happy birthday to him in her well-known charm and the President thanked her. Though there have been many speculations they might have had something.

On 15 December 1978, the very famous studio 54 was well known to host some of the wildest parties at the time with celebrated guest lists. Was raided by the FBI. There were bags of money and drugs found inside the walls of the studio. It was later closed down despite its popularity amongst stars at the time. Way to end a party studio 54.

Rock Hudson the lead actor in the show Dynasty refused to kiss his costar, Linda Evans. Despite multiple attempts, he was not participating the way he had to. The reason disclosed later was that he suffered from AIDS. Since not a lot was known about the disease it was treated as a contagious one. AIDS only spreads through intercourse and blood transfusions.

Sarah Michelle Gellar was apparently written off from the show ‘All My Children. Because Susan Lucci the main lead of the show was jealous of her performance. Sarah received the Daytime Emmy award while Lucci was not even nominated. Rumor has it that in her rage Lucci got Sarah written off even though the people loved her.

In another shocking story, Brenda Dickson who played Jill Foster Abbott in ‘The Young and The Restless’ was removed from the show in 1987. For which she blamed the creator of the show Will J. Bell took his ‘revenge’ for the end of their affair. She filed a $10 million lawsuit against Columbia pictures stating Will had blacklisted her from appearing any further in Hollywood.

The Kings of Pop Michael Jackson and Prince though regarded as geniuses in their own crafts had a huge rivalry. They both rose to fame but never collaborated. Despite various efforts, they never came around to liking each other in the slightest.

Speaking of legends John Lennon separated from his then-wife Yoko Ono and ran away with his and Yoko’s Personal Assistant May Pang. They dated for 18 months and he called this getaway his ‘Lost Weekend'. Even I get lost on my weekends, just with music.

The queen of controversy strikes again as Madonna’s single 'Like a Prayer' led to her being boycotted in Italy. Since the song contained religious imagery Even the pope was involved and called for her boycott. Pepsi who used this song for their campaign too had to drop their campaign.
