Willy Wonka himself Gene Wilder was one of the funniest men to produce and star in comedies in the 70s. He started initially with stage plays taking on minor roles in Shakespeare’s plays. After being recognized for his talents he was cast on the silver screen. He then took on films that became cult comedy classics like “Young Frankenstein” as well as “The Producers”. He is still remembered as a man of wits and charm. He was honored at the Oscars ceremony.
