A comedic influencer in the 1960s Lucille Ball became the first woman president of a production company she started with her husband. She gave way and paved the path for all women comedians by starting her very popular series I Love Lucy started in the 1950s. This series was kept up with subsequent sequels even after her divorce. She has inspired countless women in the era and has received awards and nominations for her comedies and sketches.

Awards: She has received countless accolades, including winning four Emmy Awards, Best Actress in a continuing Performance, and Outstanding Continuing Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in a Comedy Series, being the first female inductee into the Television Academy’s Hall of Fame and later being inducted into the National Women’s Hall of Fame, receiving a Lifetime Achievement Citation from the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, and being posthumously honored with the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
